Included are correspondence, chiefly 1910-1925 (with a few items before 1900), concerning family affairs (especially those of his children), Episcopal church politics and other matters, personal financial transactions, and, in 1900-1901, the estate of Anna J. Colson of Mooresville, N.C.; sermons and sermon notes; diary, 1882-1926 (19 volumes) of Osborne's activities, including his service as a chaplain in the Spanish-American War and a European trip in 1908; many books of personal memoranda and accounts; a variety of miscellaneous records of the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina; a 127-page typescript autobiography; and other items.
